Drawing is, for me, a way of inventing a new world in miniature. I am drawn to the intersection between the inside and the outside world as seen in a garden. Storytelling also plays a part in my artistic process. By hiding tiny, personal objects within my drawings I invite the viewer to find things and to think about where they came from, to whom they belonged to, and how they became lost. In this way the viewer completes the story or begins a new one.
I have exhibited my work in Boston at spaces including, Aviary Gallery, The Artist’s Foundation, and the Jamaica Plain Branch of the Boston Public Library. My work has been shown internationally in Cork and Galway, Ireland. Currently I live in Jamaica Plain, MA and find endless inspiration on my neighborhood walks observing other people’s gardens. In addition to being an artist I am a Children’s Librarian.
